Breaking News: Agu cleared to play for Super Eagles

Werder Bremen and German born Nigerian left full-back, Felix Nnaemeka Agu has been confirmed ok to play for the national team of Nigeria, the Super Eagles.

The confirmation comes as a delight to many Nigerians, after German FF officially wrote to clear the air that the player has never represented them at any official game at the A and Junior level.

This comes as a sigh of relief after the versatile defender was initially enlisted among the list of invited players called upon to prosecute the upcoming Unity Cup 2025, in the UK, but for (training purposes only) by the Nigeria Football Federation.

According to the German FF, they confirmed that Agu only played 2 friendly games for their national U21 side in 2019.

If all things being equal, Agu is expected to bring in his wealth of experience to shore up Super Eagles defensive setup and to strengthen the full-back positions for Nigeria’s impending world cup qualifiers in September.
