President of Nigerian coaches association, and former handler of U20 national team, the Flying Eagles, coach Isah Ladan Bosso has stated that he’s throwing his weight behind the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON), for his laudable initiative in ensuring a developmental pathway from the grassroots to the elite levels.

He said this shortly after the closing ceremony of the two-week FIFA Member Associations (MA) Course for Physical and Technical Instructors and Young Talents concluded in Abuja on Thursday.

According to him, the NFF President is a man who matches words with action, as he has been consistent in implementing the policies he promised, and fulfilling his mandate since he was elected into office.

He noted that prior to his election, CAF courses for coaches and referees were in lower position in a hierarchy of importance and weren’t given a glance, but his administration has come to change the narrative.

Bosso who had a decent outing with Bayelsa United in the recently concluded 2024-2025 Nigeria Premier Football League season, further stressed the need for a harmonious understanding between club owners and coaches to invite some referees to foster intellectual intimacy with players about the new laws of the game, after undergoing the new training brought by the Gusau led administration.

“I sincerely want to appreciate and thank the NFF President’s efforts in trying to fulfill his mandate in what he promised during d election”

“For a long time now, CAF courses for coaches were suspended but now they are back on the table, and I’m glad because the course will harmonise a good relationship with coaches and referees”

“President Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON) should be rest assured of our support, we’re behind him, and i think this is the time for club managers and coaches to work together and should be ready to invite referees to come intimate players with the new laws of game after undergoing the new training brought by the Gusau led administration,” he stated.
