Nigeria’s senior men’s cricket team, the Yellow Greens, have resumed a preliminary camp ahead of the ICC men’s T-20 world cup Africa finals which will take place in Zimbabwe from 28 September to October 4th, 2025.
According to Musa Ehizoje, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF), the camp will serve as high performance center that will ascertain the fitness level of all invited players where the best team will be selected for the tournament.
”Our boys have resumed camp ahead of the ICC men’s T-20 world cup African finals slated for Zimbabwe, it’s a preliminary high performance camp, and it is expected to run a minimum of two-three weeks to prepare adequately for the tournament”
”It’s a preliminary camp because from the national sports festival, they’re new players that have been spotted that we want to mix with the national team, it’s also an opportunity for those players that are under contract with the NCF to fight and prove that they deserve a place in the team”
Namibia, Kenya, Nigeria, Malawi, Ugandan, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and Botswana are the countries that will be taking part in the tournament
