Falconets, Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team will resume their training camp in Abuja this weekend, ahead of the two-legged 2026 FIFA U20 WWC qualifying fixture against Rwanda in September, continentalnews.com.ng, reports.

The team will assemble under the current head coach, Moses Aduku, who resumed last week, following his appointment by the Nigeria Football Federation, replacing Christopher Danjuma as the new handler of the Falconets.

The Falconets, were drawn bye into the second round judging by their strong records at the FIFA U-20 women’s competition, having qualified for the World Cup 11 times and finished as runners-up twice on previous occasions.

Meanwhile, Rwanda earned their place by beating Zimbabwe in the first round after a 2-1 away win in Harare, while they played out a goalless draw in the reverse fixture in Kigali.

Rwanda will host Nigeria in the first leg of the African qualifiers at the Pele Stadium in Kigali on Sunday, 21 Sept, while the Lekan Salami Stadium will stage the second leg encounter on 27 Sept, in Ibadan.

Winner from this double-header will proceed to face either Senegal or Algeria in the third and final round of the qualifiers.
