Eric Chelle, Super Eagles head coach has stated that his team is focused and stays ambitious to win their second group game against Sudan on Tuesday at the ongoing 2024 CHAN tournament.
In a pre-match conference ahead of Tuesday’s clash, Chelle says winning against their Sudanese counterpart is a project the team must execute to reinvigorate and ignite their hopes of qualifying from the group alive.
“I just want to win the game, that’s my project, and to stay ambitious, we have to win this game against Sudan.”
“We have a lot of pressure and it’s normal because we are a great country and we need to be better before the last game. If we win, it can bring positive energy to the team and we’ll see what’s next after that.”
Nduka Junior, captain of the Super Eagles B maintained that they’ll stay hungry and approach each game as it comes, even as he insisted that they’ll keep working on all grey areas and stay determined for the impending tasks ahead.
“We want to take each game as they come, the previous game we lost was just a setback and not a disaster, we’re working on every mistakes we’ve made in the past and to make sure we’ll see what we can do right in our subsequent games.” He stated.
