Zubairu picks Harcourt, Bamaiyi, Others for WAFU-B U20

Aliyu Zubairu, Flying Eagles head coach, has submitted his final twenty man list to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), ahead of the start of the regional WAFU-B U20 Boy’s Cup tournament, slated for Ghana.

Headlining the selected players are captain, Daniel Bamaiyi, goalkeeper Ebenezer Harcourt, Midfield maestro, Divine Oliseh, and forward Oluwaseun Qudus.

Others are, Odinaka Okoro, an outstanding performer at the last U20 AFCON in Egypt, Abba Khalid, and Ezekiel Anthony Kpangu.

Meanwhile, the likes of Oluwashile Akinniran, Marvelous Freedom, Mustapha Kamaldeen and Goodday Imbus also made the cut.

‎The Flying Eagles departed Nigeria on monday morning, and have since settled down in Accra, the host city of the regional tournament which begins from July 10-24, 2025.

The coach Aliyu Zubairu tutored side will get their campaign underway against perennial arch-rivals Ghana, who are in thesame Group with Nigeria, alongside Benin Republic.
