Nigeria’s U20 girls, Falconets, on Friday defeated their Poland counterparts, 1-0 in a friendly match played at the Municipal Stadium in Brzeg, Poland, as part of the team’s final preparations for this year’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.

Mary Mamudu scored the only goal of the match in added time of first half, as the charges of Coach Moses Aduku gained much-needed winning mentality and morale ahead of their first match of the competition against Spain on Monday, 7th September.

The two-time World Cup runners-up will play their second and final friendly game against the Republic of Korea at the Remes Sports Leisure and Spa Stadium on Tuesday, 1st September.

After playing Spain on 7th September, the Falconets will tackle China on 10th September, and then take on New Caledonia on 13th September.
